The Climate Action Plans for each local authorities are under review at present – these will be the plans used for climate action locally the next 5 years.

This is incredibly important to contribute to. Community Gardens Ireland have performed a review of previous climate action plans / adaptations strategies and have found gaps in the wording related to allotments or community gardens in previous plans.

We have made submissions to every local authority calling for more allotments and community gardens. See here for details of one of our submission to Kerry County Council.
